what to expect

A consultation is required for new clients to specify any particular needs and to show me the process if you won’t be present during future sessions. You will be directed to fill out any necessary forms once you schedule.

Once we retrieve your dog, we will leash them, potty them and bring them to the slatmill inside the van. We have lots of motivators if your pup is a little shy including toys, treats, or maybe even bringing in a familiar toy from home. We will work patiently to make sure your pup feels comfortable with each step before conquering the next one!

It is important that you do not feed your dog 30 minutes before OR after these activities. This will avoid any stomach upset or medical issue. Please let us know if you have fed your dog before your session starts.

Your pup will run anywhere from 2-20 minutes at a time. All dogs have different temperaments and vary in ability and willingness; therefore, results will vary. Any extra time goes towards entering your home to retrieve, potty and return them inside.

Even if your dog doesn’t start to power the mill themselves in their first session, they will likely still be tired because it’s mentally stimulating learning a new activity!

After your session we will potty them again, make sure they stay hydrated and will return them back to you (or your home if you aren’t there!). If you are away, we will leave everything as-is, set any alarms/lock all doors, etc.

A Google Photo Album will be made and sent to you after your consult. This allows me to add photos/video to the album after each session for you to see!

Please give a 15 minute grace period for traffic.

Your dog is required to be over 6 months old and be current on their DHPP, Lepto and Rabies vaccine.
