A slatmill is a self-powered treadmill. Your dog decides how fast or slow they go!

What is a Slatmill?

Playing fetch can be rough on the joints as our buddies take sharp turns and pivot. The limitation of moving only forward, like the movement on a slatmill, creates less impact on their joints. This is especially great for older dogs who can take it slow while still building muscle and working their joints.

When it comes to running, your pup is likely faster and has more endurance than you do! When a pup can get to a fast-sprinting pace it burns much more energy than a walk or fetch session.

Slatmills offer more than just freedom to run. It improves their overall health by calming anxiety and stress, building muscle, and combating extra weight. It allows us to quickly drain our dog's energy, which is great for high-energy and anxious dogs, as well as helpful for pet parents who do not have the time or space to exercise their dog.

I have 2 slatmills-the medium mill has a weight limit of 70lbs and the large mill has a weight limit of 170lbs! They both have fully adjustable tethering systems to suit all sizes and breeds. There is a resistance braking system to slow your pup down when their session is over. We make it fun with a 12-function digital speedometer so we can track the speed, time, and distance your pup goes!

  • Your dog controls speed on a slatmill

  • If they are going a slower speed than what you have a motor adjusted to, it can be a safety concern

  • It’s like starting a run but with a parachute on-more resistance

  • Powering a slatmill themselves means they have to use more muscle to move the slats which in turn burns more energy too

  • More beneficial for physical AND mental stimulation

  • Focuses on building muscle with resistance training

  • Specifically made to hook and harness the dog in

Why is it better than a motor-powered treadmill?
